February 2013.
Soft, silent snowfall outside Hospital X exudes an eerie serenity.
A piercing pager call jolts me and as a junior doctor on-call, I brace myself for another grueling night shift.
I arrive at the stifling medical ward, filled with a cacophony of beeping machines,
deep cuts, shallow breaths, and an epic
THUD!
The next morning, I wake up to an excruciating pain,
with a peace emblem embossed against my broken heart.
JUST KIDDING.
As I slowly emerge from the depth of despair,
a healing journey beckons me back to my Himalayan roots.
